The Importance of Manners
Recently I have noticed that people don't have good manners, so i have decided to become more polite by doing simple things. Saying please and thank you and excuse me are good things to say yet i seem to never hear any of those words at all. Another thing is, you do not whisper in front of people, it is very rude and inconsiderate. Another thing is to use table manners, like talking about appropriate things at the table, chewing with your mouth closed, keep your elbows off the table and do not take overly large bites of food( this does depend on your size and age- a twelve year old girl should not take the same size bite as say her 18 year old brother or father would) Also you should not take extreme sized portions of food, you can take more if you are still hungry. These rules should not be forgotten even at home! Also, consider others. If there are two sandwiches on the counter and your, lets say older sister, comes in and picks up the sandwich you had your eye one don't yell "Hey!That's mine!" also if she says but i want it too don't snap at her and say that you called it and you can't just pick it up and eat it. If she says why not? and tries to take a bite, DO NOT SNATCH IT OUT OF HER HANDS! IT IS VERY RUDE! The other sandwich she will not eat because she does not care for mustard pickles or tuna. Also keep in mind that she has only eaten one banana one small Clementine and a small rice kripsy treat all day, because she was nice enough to give her lunch to her best friend who was out of lunch money. Any ways, use good manners even at home _ the end
