Xaver

Xaver was a sweet kid, quite charming and semi-good looking. There was nothing wrong with him, he was just different. Xaver couldn't seem to make friends, he liked to fix things and was extreamly smart. But he could only see out of one dark brown eye, the other was white blue and could only see colors and there were no real shapes. People made fun of him because he drew crazy pictures and made up silly stories, but he didn't really care that he was a bit lonely. One day at school he was drawing a picture of a machine that could feed his dog and his rabbit at the same time and he felt a tap on his shoulder. It was a thin girl with curly black hair. She had tight jeans and mismatched shoes one white and one blue. She wore a black sweater with one white rain cloud with a little anime smiley face. Xaver blinked his good eye keeping his other one open. The girl winked back. "what do you want?" he asked rather loudly, was she making fun of him? She jumped. " you don't have to yell" she said. " It hurts my hears. I just wanted to see what you were doing. It looks like a machine to feed multiple pets at a time. I need one of those, its a pain to feed my dog and my rat and my turtle all at the same time." He looked at her with amazement. She held out her hand to him, he took it. Later he learned her name was Tea, really it was Tealashay, but it was too long so he just called her tea. Tea had acute hearing and could hear him across the room even if he whispered really teeny tiny across the isle. He thought it was terrificly amazing. Tea loved going to Xavers house, and helped him build anything and every thing and they were best friends. One day Tea came to school with a nasty bruise over her cheek bone. "what happened to your cheek" xaver asked. "Oh," she nervously chuckled " i fell off my bike." and xaver believed her. Until later at his house when she had no scrapes on her hands. Xaver wasn't stupid. The next day he asked if he could come over, and Tea said her parents didn't like other kids coming over. Over the next few weeks, it all started to click. One day Xaver asked Tea to take off her jacket at his house later that day, She said she was chilled, though he persisted. "Why won't you take your jacket off tea?" "Because i don't want to!" she shouted. She covered her ears, tears started to well in her eyes. Tea slowly pulled down the sleeves of her arms, and he could see why she didn't want to take it off. Some one had grabbed her so hard it left finger marks on both arms. He under stood," you don't have to take it off tea." " i want you to see" she said. She lifted up her shirt just enough so xaver could see the purple circles on her stomach and rib cage. He look at her and whispered as softly as he could. " i love you tea." and Tea smiled.
